  5. 1) Supported Platforms
  6. ---------------------
  7. This version of AutoSpell supports Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP. Windows 3.x is no longer supported.

  10. 2) Using multiple dictionaries
  11. ------------------------------
  12. AutoSpell 6.x supports the use of multiple dictionaries.  You can download dictionaries from www.spellchecker.com.

  14. 3) AutoSpell consists of several applications.    They are CompleteCheck, Spell Checker for outlook express, Dictionary Expander, Thesaurus.  For detail description of those products, please check www.spellchecker.com or help files.

  16. 4) Works with more applications

  18. AutoSpell works with most Windows applications that use standard edit, rich edit, or other popular controls.  You can use it in 
  19.     Instant Messaging programs (such as Yahoo Instant Messaging),
  20.                      accounting software, 
  21.                      Notepad, 
  22.                      Wordpad, 
  23.                     databases, 
  24.                     information managers, 
  25.                     financial programs, 
  26.                     graphics programs, 
  27.                     tools (such as Source Safe, visual studio.net), 
  28.                    Office suite (such as MS Office) 
  29.                    many more.

  31. 5) Flexibility

  33. In addition to being user-customizable, AutoSpell gives you more options for how to check your spelling - check interactively  and program to help you get your work done quickly.

  40. 7) Microsoft Product users
  41. -------------------------
  42. The following information only applies if you use either:

  44. 1. Outlook Express, or
  45. 2. MS Office (including MS Word)  
  46.  
  47. Before installing AutoSpell, you may notice that  Microsoft Outlook Express, Internet Mail and News,  Exchange, Outlook, or Windows Messaging have no spell check menu, or  they have a spell checking menu option but it is disabled.  After AutoSpell is installed, the spelling option and spell checking menus in the above products will be enabled.

  49. 8) For Wordpad Plus users

  51. AutoSpell for Wordpad Plus is no longer supported.  AutoSpell 6.x Spell Checker has replaced it.  AutoSpell for Wordpad Plus was developed initially for users with limited memory on their computers.  It has been replaced with Autospell 6.x, which has better support and compatibility.  If you have AutoSpell for Wordpad Plus and would like to update to AutoSpell 6.x, we suggest that you uninstall AutoSpell for Wordpad Plus, and then reinstall the original Wordpad from the Windows setup disk.  Next, install Autospell 6.x.
